That's right, I'm celebrating my birthday all week long.

It's all I'm going to talk about.

Today I had a hot chocolate and split a polar bear cookie with Gideon.

He ate the bear's brain, butt and toes.

I ate the rest.

I dreamed of bears over the weekend.

A black bear went after Chris and a panda after me. As the panda approached, I fell to the ground, pretty much into a fetal position.

I was terrified.

The panda put his arm around me and snuggled.

What a nice panda.

That panda made me feel much better about myself.

I have no idea what the black bear did with Chris.

What can you do?

My high school Spanish teacher used to say: Sometimes you get the bear and sometimes the bear gets you.

But back to my birthday . . .

Steve Fellner gave me a gift in his interview at Almost Dorothy.

Thank you Steve & Neil.

  1. Happy birthday, belatedly.

What a joyous experience with the bear: whether you eat or are eaten, when the bear is a product of your child's imagination, it matters not.

  2. Thanks -- my birthday is Friday the 25th, I started the celebration early.

  3. ah, Rebeccamas! I knew I was feeling festive for some reason!!

I have three trees up in your honor.

  4. happy birthday. my mom's was on the 26th - she hated having her birthday so close to christmas - said she was ripped off on presents haha.

  5. Happy birthday, happy holidays, happy new year, happy happy joy joy...
